This is a quick watercolour sketch I did from a photograph I took of the quays at sunset. I liked the golden yellow colour of the sky streaming into the photo and how it reflected off the windows and the Liffey. I was trying to capture the contrast between the darkness of the buildings and the light streaming in. This sketch is of Capitol Dock again, which I also painted recently in inks Capital Dock in Dublin – pen and ink. I might try and do this one again, putting more time and effort into it next time.
