Welcome to Life Sketched, an illustrated blog about day to day life, the good and the bad, all accompanied by sketches and drawings.

This blog started out following on from a one-year graphic design course I took in 2005-16. Throughout this year I realised I enjoyed the pen/paintbrush to paper aspects of the course much more than the did digital side. So, I’ve decided to keep going with what I enjoy doing and to not go through with two more years of  Graphic Design school. This blog is part of my motivation to keep sketching, drawing, painting, and hopefully, improving! I’m very much a beginner, trying to learn as I go,  experimenting with materials and just enjoying the practice. I haven’t found a subject I’m drawn to yet or distinctive style but I’m hoping that through keeping up this blog up that will develop.
