Going up the quays in Dublin recently I was struck by the number of cranes towering above the city’s buildings. I counted about 20 cranes between O’Connell street and the point O3. This painting is from a photo I took of a new dock in development, Capital Dock. I did this one with inks on watercolour paper. 

I actually painted this in acrylics first but it ended up looking a bit messy so I had another go with inks, trying to be more careful applying the colours.
