Irish Castles: Malahide Castle, acrylics on canvas

Continuing with the theme of Irish castles that I’ve been doing lately, here is a painting of Malahide castle in the north of Dublin that I did over the weekend. This is the largest canvas I’ve used to paint on so far (can’t remember the dimensions).

I painted this from a photo I took a few months ago when the trees were still in full bloom-it probably looks quite different now at this time of the year. There were groups of people in the foreground that I intended to include in the painting but then didn’t for fear of messing it up! Might go back and include them another time.
