Here are a few attempts at capturing city streets at night, using pastels, charcoal and watercolours. Trying to work out different colours schemes and media to use. Would like to do a large painting or drawing on the city street at night theme.

I LOVE these. What a great feeling you have caught in each one – a different aspect of night in the city – loneliness, some menace, or just all the bright lights and going home after work (I am inserting my own past into this last idea!). I especially love the softness of the pastel and the pastel/charcoal ones.
