This is a painting I started a few weeks ago before the day job became very full on and I didn’t get a chance to finish it. Had a bit of a break from work last night and managed to finish the painting before the workload picks up again tomorrow.
This is a view from Newcommen Bridge in Dublin’s northside that I painted from a photograph taken on my walk home from work. I think this particular scene always interests me as I walk past it as it captures a part of Dublin city, old and new; the oldworldly terraced houses, railway tracks and canal to the foreground overshadowed by imposing, blocky modern architecture looming in the background.
Watercolours on watercolour paper.

Wow Geraldine that’s another fabulous drawing. Really professional looking. Hope your week down south went well. xxx
