I painted the quays in Dublin in watercolour previously but I think I was a bit heavy with the paint and it turned out a bit muddy looking – Streets of Dublin in Watercolour. I love the view along the quays in Dublin – the tall, old buildings and all the colours – so I had another go at painting this scene in watercolours recently. I went a lot lighter with the paint in this one and I liked the softer look this time. The colours have a pastel look to them.
